Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Information

At Macarthur Early Learning, we understand that navigating Child Care Subsidy (CCS) can feel overwhelming. We are here to support families through the process and ensure you understand your entitlements.

Here's our guide on what to do before your child starts care.

What is Child Care Subsidy?

The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a payment provided by the Australian Government to assist families with the cost of approved child care. The amount of subsidy you receive depends on:

  • Your family’s combined annual income

  • The type of approved child care service

  • The number of hours of recognised activity (work, study, volunteering etc.)

  • The hourly fee charged by the service (up to the Government hourly rate cap)

CCS is paid directly to the childcare service to reduce your out-of-pocket fees.
