Our program is built around play-based learning combined with intentional teaching, allowing children to explore, investigate, and learn through meaningful experiences. The School Readiness Program in the Kangaroos Room focuses on developing the skills children need for a successful transition to school. Through daily routines, small and large group experiences, and project based learning, children are supported to:

• Build independence and self-help skills

• Develop social skills, cooperation, and emotional regulation

• Strengthen early literacy and numeracy understanding

• Develop confidence to ask questions and share ideas

Learning experiences are guided by children’s interests and strengths, with educators intentionally extending learning to support communication, creativity, critical thinking, and wellbeing. Families are valued as partners, and open communication ensures each child’s learning journey is supported both at home and within the service.
